Privacy Policy

Last updated November 5, 2022

We believe strongly in the right to privacy, and Film Weave’s application and website are built with privacy and security in mind.
Film Weave relies on a few trusted third parties for specific services. We vet these companies before working with them to ensure they take your privacy as seriously as we do.

Film Weave’s products are entirely self-funded by David Welch, are built and maintained by David and developers under his supervision, and are reviewed by the security team at Microsoft.

Application
Film Weave relies on the industry standard Unity engine for its user interface, and GStreamer for its media processing, and is subject to their privacy policies. Film Weave also uses the Microsoft Store to distribute and update its software. Otherwise, Film Weave has no analytics or trackers, and does not send or receive personal information of any kind from your device or accounts.

Film Weave can access your file storage, and does so when you direct it to import and export media, or to save and open project files. It also writes debug logs.

Website
Film Weave uses Webflow for its web design and hosting, and is subject to that software’s privacy policy. Otherwise, the Film Weave website has no trackers, no analytics, no ads, no cookies, and does not send or receive personal information of any kind from your device or accounts.

Film Weave also uses Mailchimp for its mailing list services.
